Berberos Kingdom

A tribute to the Imazighen — the free people of North Africa — and the Tifinagh script that outlived every empire that tried to erase it. The yaz, ⵣ, worn as a standard. Before the borders, there was the mountain, the desert, and a people who named themselves free.

Berberos Kingdom collection
Before the borders, before the conquests — the mountain, the desert, and a people who named themselves free.

The collection

The Imazighen — the free people — have lived across North Africa for at least four thousand years. Empires came for them: Phoenician, Roman, Vandal, Arab, French. The empires left. The Imazighen, and their alphabet, stayed.

Tifinagh is one of the oldest writing systems still in daily use, etched on tombs and tattooed on hands long before it was typed on a screen. At its centre sits the yaz — ⵣ — the symbol of the free man. Berberos Kingdom puts that symbol back where it belongs: across the chest, like a standard, carried forward by anyone who refuses to forget.
